Tea Ceremony

A private tea ceremony took place at 3pm on Saturday, January 6. Berta served tea to her parents and then to the Neil's parents, and then to Neil himself. Serving tea is a way to express gratitude. After drinking tea, the parents and Neil then return the empty tea cups with red envelopes, which symbolize good look. These envelopes are placed on the saucer which holds the teacups.

Western Ceremony

A western-style ceremony took place just before sunset on Saturday, January 6, incorporating a mix of Western traditions. Our "sparkler girl" Andria set the tone by walking down the aisle to pass out sparklers for use during the recessional. Then, the processional ("Luna," the Smashing Pumpkins) began: first, the Neil with his parents; then, the wedding party - Galen and Sophia, and Christian and Zofia; and finally, flower girl Jaclyn and ring bearer Ethan. Bride made her entrance with her parents to "Here Comes The Sun" by the Beatles. After a short reading, exchange of vows, and exchange of rings, the couple receeded to "Beautiful Day" by U2.

Wedding Banquet

A wedding banquet (complete with traditional a modern Taiwanese 12-course banquet) was held in the ballroom at the Agora Garden. The couple made their entrance to "I've Got My Love To Keep Me Warm (Stuhr remix)" by Kay Starr.

After Party

Much revelry took place at FiFi.
